Fontainebleau’s Lady Bulldogs (41-2) outlasted the St. Scholastica Academy Doves 20-25, 25-20, 25-17, 23-25, 17-15 in a district finale thriller Thursday at SSA. With the victory, the Lady Dawgs capped off their second consecutive unbeaten district title going 12-0. FHS went 14-0 to capture last year’s title.

Hannan (2-7) falls to 0-4 in District 6-1A play, while Jackson moves to 2-1 in the district. The Chiefs are rolling after coming off a lopsided 23-0 victory over the Kentwood Kangaroos last week.

Sheriff and Slidell police on the hunt for armed robber
The armed robber, who is suspected of two armed robberies last week on Brownswitch Road and Robert Boulevard in Slidell, is also suspected for the robbery of the Blockbuster Video store at the corner of Gause Boulevard and Military Road Wednesday afternoon.
