The proximity and convenience of the Causeway in western St. Tammany Parish has been the impetus for unprecedented growth in the area since Hurricane Katrina.

The Shop St. Tammany West section highlights the towns and cities as well as the general area and offers an update on many construction and building projects, including new businesses and developments in the area.

With growth comes demands for government resources, both parish and city. Of course, these are funded by taxes, including sales taxes.

By supporting local businesses in the area, residents are not only helping their neighbors’ and friends’ businesses, but are also helping provide their own families with resources that ensure the quality of life expected in the area.

By stimulating the local economy, residents can enjoy many of the cultural and recreation offerings of the area and provide for a bright future for our families. Whether it’s grocery shopping or buying a new car, the community benefits when residents support local businesses.

Be sure to see what’s new and what’s going on in western St. Tammany in today’s special section. You may discover a new favorite, or a reason to explore a new area of the parish.
