Mandeville Tea Party group set to meet in Covington

A town hall meeting, organized by the Mandeville Tea Party group, will be held in Bogue Falaya Hall at the Greater Covington Center, 317 N. Jefferson Ave. in Covington tonight. The group’s town hall meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. with introductions, a video on the tea party movement in Louisiana followed by an opportunity to express ideas and solutions.

The group’s Web site said they are a “group of friends and neighbors united around our love for America, our faith in the Constitution and a feeling that our freedom is slipping away.”

The meeting is due to end at 8:30 p.m.
