Slidell adjuster ordered to stop doing business

The Louisiana Department of Insurance has ordered a Slidell insurance adjuster to stop doing business for allegedly doing business without a license.

Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon said in a statement released last Wednesday that Stanley Clark Pore, 48, 352 Moonraker Drive, was served with a cease and desist order after an investigative hearing by the department’s Insurance Fraud Section. The investigation alleges Pore operated as a claims adjuster without a state license, and that his company, Coast Claim Recovery was not properly licensed by the Department of Insurance.

Besides the cease and desist order, Pore was also fined $25,000 for operating without a public adjuster’s license.

The DOI urges any resident who believes they have been defrauded during an insurance-related transaction, should call the Insurance Fraud Section at (225) 342-4956, or 1-800-259-5300. Complainants can request that their names not be used during the investigation.
